Hellenic War Risk is a mutual club, owned by its Members. Each Member essentially pays into a collective cover with other Members, bringing three clear advantages over commercial insurance:
As a mutual organisation, we put our Members’ interests first. We answer to the Hellenic shipping community, not to detached shareholders. The Rules and scope of cover is set by the Members and is constantly evolved to cover the changing risks faced by Hellenic shipping around the world.
Without the need to return a profit, we are able to charge Members a competitive rate reflecting the financial position of the Club.
