Further attacks on ships in the Gulf of Oman - 13th June 2019

The Managers’ Agents are aware of the reported attacks on two ships in the Gulf of Oman on 13 June. Although full details of the incidents are yet to be confirmed, there does appear to be a greatly increased threat to ships trading in the region. It is likely that Additional Premium rates will increase with immediate effect and the Association is in discussions with its reinsurers to assist in it continuing to be able to provide Members with the best possible terms.

Members are reminded that all current indications for AP are subject to a 48 hours validity from the time of issue.
