Loss Prevention Bulletin - 10 September 2018

Date of incident: 10/09/2018 

At least six gunmen stormed the headquarters of the National Oil Company (NOC) on Tariq al-Seka street in central Tripoli at approximately 0830hrs local time, taking multiple hostages and causing infrastructural damage using explosives. The gunmen reportedly detonated explosives at the entrance of the building before entering the headquarters and taking hostages. Local security sources have reported that the gunmen are militants of Islamic State (IS), though this remains unconfirmed.
