Hellenic War Risks is a mutual War Risks Club. Run by the Members, for the Members, in the event of a claim, our first thought is how can we help you to get your ship back in business and get each legitimate claim settled smoothly and efficiently.

Initiating a claim

To initiate a claim, all you need to do is to call us. You can then expect our experienced team to help you to provide expert in the event support, as well managing your claim.

Helping cash flow during the claims process

We understand what it’s like to manage a Hellenic shipping business. That’s why we make payments to Members as expenses occur, easing cashflow and minimising disruption for you and your crew.

Handling discretionary claims

Giving the changing nature of the world in which we operate and the complexities of global shipping, it is inevitable that some claims may fall outside the strict Rules of the Club. In these circumstances, the Board, made up of Members of the Hellenic shipping community, will preside over a ruling. In many cases, this can lead to a change in the Rules to accommodate future claims.
